Monsta X is a South Korean boy band that debuted in 2015 under Starship Entertainment. The group was formed through the survival show “No.Mercy,” where members were selected based on their vocal and performance abilities. The group originally consisted of seven members: Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M.
Monsta X released their debut single “Trespass” in 2015, which gained them attention for their powerful performances and unique style. They continued to release hit singles, including “Hero” and “All In,” which helped solidify their position in the K-pop industry.
In 2017, Monsta X made their debut in Japan and later that year, they released their first studio album, “The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter,” which topped the Korean charts. The group continued to gain popularity both domestically and internationally, earning several awards and nominations.
However, in 2019, Wonho left the group due to personal reasons, and the group continued as a six-member group. They released their first English-language album, “All About Luv,” in 2020, which featured collaborations with various American artists, including Pitbull and French Montana.

There are currently 2 versions of the Monsta X Lightstick. The first one was released on May the 14th, 2017, to celebrate the 2nd debut anniversary of the band. This Kpop lightstick was designed and produced by Copan Global and licensed by Starship Entertainment.
It is not possible to buy a new 1st version Monsta X lightstick, but you can definitely buy a used one on sites like Ebay.
The lightstick by Monsta X is called the Mondoongie as is one of the most beautiful lightsticks, and also very customizable. You can open your Moondoongie and decorate it from the inside. Click here to see how to open your lightstick and customize it.
The handle of the lightstick is black and has a turquoise transparent dome with their logo inside.
From far away the 2nd version is pretty similar, but it’s all in the details. The colour of the dome has changed from turquoise to white. Another thing that changed slightly is the handle, the 1st version was black while the 2nd version is dark grey. On top of that, the shape and colour of the box have changed as well.
1. Monsta X Lightstick Features
The features of the 1st version lightstick and 2nd version lightstick are different. The size of the first one is 96x95x236 mm and is made of ABS plastic. It can only turn 3 colours and the colours are related to the the band album colours, namely:
- Pantone 2221 C as the colour of the album The Clan Part 1: Lost
- Pantone Dark Blue C as the colour of the album The Clan Part 2: Guilty
- Pantone 2405 C as the colour of the album The Clan Part 2.5: Beautiful
If you take your lightstick to a Monsta X concert, it can connect to a central system and synchronise. There is only one mode on this lightstick and that is ‘on’. There is no blinking of flickering.
The lightstick comes in a black box and together with a user manual and black strap.
