Anseong Farmland is a popular tourist destination located in Anseong, a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. This expansive agricultural theme park offers visitors a chance to experience traditional Korean farm life and learn about the country’s rural culture. Anseong Farmland has a rich history, dating back to the early 20th century when the area was primarily used for agriculture. Over the years, the farmland has undergone various changes and developments, transforming into the modern attraction that it is today.
The city Anseong lies about 60 kilometers south of Seoul in the province Gyeonggi-do. It is owned by the popular Korean bank Nonghyup.
Now it is a fun experience farm where kids and adults can learn about the different farm animals like cattle, bulls, donkeys, sheep and geese. During your visit you can enjoy many feeding experience programs.
Apart from the farm animals, Anseong Farmland is also famous for its stunning and grand flower fields. Each season there are different flowers in full bloom and it’s a great place to take pictures for couples and families. The kind of flowers in bloom during the year are rapeseed, rye, roses, lotus, cosmos, pink muhly and pampas. The schedule of the blooming season is shown below, but it might change a week or two depending on the year.

What To Do In Anseong Farmland?
There are many activities to do in Anseong farmland, from feeding the animals to dog shows, theme park attractions and much more. All is listed below.
1. Feeding The Farm Animals
There is nothing more fun than feeding animals. In the farmland you can feed all kinds of farm animals like donkeys, sheep, goat, cows, bunnies, birds and more. Food can be bought at one of the the stalls and it’s 1000 krw for a portion. Most boots accept cash and card, except for feeding the birds. There you’ll need to use coins.
The animals are very friendly towards visitors and it is a great experience for kids raised in the city. During the weekend it can get a bit crowded, so if possible try to go on a weekday.

2. Animal Shows
You can watch different shows or information sessions at the farmland. The most impressive and popular show is the dog show. Two trained dogs are used to catch frisbees and perform impressive tricks. Other shows are the sheep shearing, sheep herding, livestock performance, pig performance* and so on.
*When I visited the pig performance was cancelled because of on outbreak of the African swine fever in Korea. Check official website in advance to check the schedule of the day. (Korean only)
3. Horse Riding
Kids can enjoy horse riding in the equestrian center. There are a couple of options when it comes to horse riding. The most popular one is the short horse riding experience for 8000 krw. Here you’ll be able to sit on a horse and go around the equestrian center accompanied with a guide.
Another option is a 45 minute (or longer) lesson where you’ll learn the basics of horse riding and techniques. This is in Korean only and has to be booked in advance.
4. Dog Paradise
Why not bring your own dog and let him/her run around Dog Paradise. This is a playground specially designed for dogs of all sizes. The basic fee is 4000 krw but you can pay extra if you want your dog to play in the pool and have him dried by a professional afterwards.
5. Renting A Four-Wheeled Bicycle
The Anseong Farmland is quite big and if you come with little kids or elderly you might want to rent a four-wheeled bicycle for the whole family. A small bicycle for 2-3 people costs 12 000 krw and a big one for up to 6 people 20 000 krw.

6. Archery Experience
The farmland has a small archery experience zone. For 5000 krw you’ll get a couple of arrows + bow and can shoot on a target from around 7 meters away.
7. Other Things To Do
Apart from all the experiences mentioned above there are other things to do in the farmland. There are quite a few theme park rides, trampolines and other fun stuff for kids.

Personal Experience
I absolutely loved visiting the Anseong Farmland! I visited on the 19th of October and it was a stunning day! All the flowers were in full bloom and the weather was just perfect. I arrived at the farmland at 9.30 as I wanted to beat the crowds and I’m happy I did. Because at 1 PM when I was leaving the place was so busy. If you visit, try to do on a weekday or just before opening times during weekends.
One thing I would do differently is book a package tour instead of going by public transport. You can easily take the express bus to the bus terminal around 5 kilometers from the farmland but then it gets tricky. I took a Kakao Taxi as there wasn’t any bus coming in the next 2 hours. The taxi was around 9000 krw, which is ok.
When leaving I took the shuttle bus to the bus terminal, but then I had to wait 1h30 for my bus to come. So next time I’ll just book a package tour and don’t have to worry about getting there.
I didn’t eat there as I didn’t find the food very appealing but there are lots of restaurants, street food cards and cafes on the grounds.
Farmland Featured In Dramas
It comes as no surprise that the farmland was featured in multiple Korean dramas. In the park you’ll even find some photo zones with characters and scenes of the dramas. If you are a fan of Korean dramas, then visiting the farmland is a treat!
The farmland was featured in the following dramas: Your Honor (2018), While You Were Sleeping (2017), Ex-Boyfriend Club (2015), My Spring Days (2014), Cruel Palace – War of Flowers (2013), Bridal Mask (2012), A Gentleman’s Dignity (2012), My Fair Lady (2009) and many more!
