Garosugil Homestay Seoul – The Ideal Guesthouse for Female Travelers

Garosugil Area
Garosugil, which surprisingly means “lined trees” (as you won’t find any trees nowadays, except for those stinky gingko trees). An area that became popular back in 1980 with the rise of art galleries in the neighbourhood, made world famous from the Korean dramas and K-pop songs.
Garosugil Homestay is located in the more residential area of Gangnam; a short walk away from the closest subway station Apgujeong.
Garosugil Homestay Review
What I liked about the place was that it is located on the top floor of an apartment block, which has a great view all over Seoul. I had an instant homey feeling upon entering, the spacious kitchen and living room are nicely decorated. The extremely spacious apartment has one female room only which included a private bathroom, 2 beds, one sofa bed, a massive TV and a small office with a desk, fridge and wardrobes. I even received my own cute cotton pajamas!
The room has air-conditioning, heated blankets, towels, free toiletries, a hair dryer, some snacks (pot noodles) and drinks. I stayed here 2 nights and loved it!
The breakfast is included when booking a room here and you will not be disappointed! I opted for the American breakfast (yes, you can also choose the Korean or Japanese breakfast), with an egg, salad, meat, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and toast!
Practical Details
If you are a female solo traveler or are travelling with another female friend this place is perfect for you! With the location, the owner Rosemary, the breakfast and a booking.com score of 9.9; you don’t need to think twice about staying here! The price is extremely reasonable, starting at 60 000 won (60$) a night.
